Craig R. Carlson

Craig R. Carlson passed away peacefully after a long battle with Alzheimer’s, on Saturday, February 7, 2026.

Born May 25, 1946, to the late Robert and Elizabeth (Sanks) Carlson.

He graduated from Sidney High School in 1964.  Craig was an avid Syracuse University sports fan. He ushered over 40 years at the SU Dome. He had season tickets to Syracuse lacrosse games.  Craig was also a member of the Liverpool Elks. He also loved being a grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years Melissa Hunsinger; children, Kelly (Jake) McDonald, and James (Katlyn) Carlson; and two grandchildren McKenna and Gabriella.

A graveside service will be held at a later date in the spring.
