Donald C Willis, 79, of West Monroe, New York, formerly of Panther Lake, New York passed away peacefully while battling an aggressive illness, on Good Friday, March 29th, 2024 while surrounded by his loving family.
Born to the late Earl and Clara (Durgee) of Panther Lake, New York. Don was a die hard New York Giants football fan, and found great joy spending time with his family, puttering in his garage, woodworking, camping at the Lake and he all around enjoyed life. He retired from Carrier Corp after over 40 years of service as a machinist. He cherished the many friends and countless memories made throughout the years from his bowling leagues, horseshoe leagues and last but not least, his Tuesday pitch league at the Constantia VFW.
Don is survived by his wife Joan; sons, Brian (Rhonda) Willis, Scott Willis; his daughters, Suzanne (Jeremy) Creekmore and Jennie (Bill, Jr.) Irwin; stepdaughter, Jennifer (Mike) Lucas and stepson, Mathew Dewolf. Along with his 16 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and an unofficial adopted son Eric Hutchinson.
Don was accepted with open wings by his previous wife Shirley; Brothers, Wendel and Richard, his Mother and Father and many other family and friends.
Calling hours will be from 11:00am - 2:00pm with a service to follow immediately at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Traub Funeral Home, Inc., 684 North Main Street, Central Square, New York. Spring burial will be in Constantia Center Cemetery.
